some DEFINITE DONT'S ....

Despite what others might tell you, or what the pool shop says....

1. DON'T BROADCAST POOL CHEMICALS DIRECTLY INTO THE POOL WATER - ALWAYS TIP IN SKIMMER!

2.
DON'T MIX ANY POOL CHEMICALS TOGETHER AS A SERIOUS FIRE OR EXPLOSION MAY OCCUR!

Mixing Hydrochloric Acid and Granualar Chlorine together creates a Poisonous Gas that can injure you! Keep them well apart!
Pool Chemicals are DANGEROUS so never mix any different chemicals EVEN THE SAME STUFF from a different suppler!

3. DON’T LEAVE POOL COVER ON ALL WINTER - CHEMICAL BUILDUP MAY OCCUR AND DAMAGE POOL LINER!

4. DON'T BREAK TRI-CHLOR TABS TO FIT THE AQUAGENIE CANISTER – EXPLOSION/UGLY INJURY MAY OCCUR!

5. DON’T ALLOW FLOODING OF AQUAGENIE CANISTER BY POOL WATER - CHECK FOR BLOCKED LEVEL DEVICE!

6. DON'T RUN PUMP WHILE CHANGING MULTI-PORT VALVE POSITION - ALWAYS SWITCH OFF IN BETWEEN!

7. DON'T PUT TRI-CHLOR OR ANY OTHER CHLORINE TABS DIRECTLY IN THE SKIMMER BASKET!

Water flowing through the Aquagenie skimmer will erode these TriChlor tablets quickly and dramatically lower the pool pH to a level that is detrimental to the pool liner.

8. DON’T VACUUM THE POOL WITH THE MULTI-PORT VALVE IN THE BACKWASH POSITION!

9. DON’T LET PUMP RUN DRY FOR ANY REASON - NO WARRANTY APPLIES TO OVERHEATED PUMPS!

10. DON’T ALLOW CUTTING TOOLS, SHARP OBJECTS, KNIVES, SPEARS ETC IN THE POOL!

11. DON’T LEAVE VAC POLE LYING AROUND POOL WITH NO BRUSH ATTACHED - LINER DAMAGE MAY OCCUR!

12. DON’T LET YOUR LANDSCAPER OR PAVER BLOCK THE NATURAL OVERFLOW DRAIN OF THE AQUAGENIE!

If you installing poured concrete around the pool, be sure to tell the concrete company to leave a space around the           Aquagenie skimmer so that the overflow is not blocked. By blocking the overflow, you can allow the pool to completely fill to the top, and Trichlor Tabs in the aqugenie will be flooded and can overflow down the skimmer mouth and bleach the pool liner

Also ensure that there is an air gap expansion strip of at least 5mm between concrete surrounds and pool copings. Expansion cuts must be made in concrete to prevent cracking. Professional layers will be aware of this. Copings are secure from top loading, but any lateral expansion of the concrete may dislodge them.
This air gap also must be in place if wooden decking is used, as wet timber will definitely expand and dislodge the pool copings.

13. NEVER EVER LET CHILDREN UNDER TEENS SWIM WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION - AT ANY TIME!

Adult Supervision of all children under 12 required at ALL TIMES
NEVER leave any child in the pool alone - even for a few minutes!
