Most pool companies will quote the "pool only" cost, often not including (or even informing you of) added cost items, so be aware that the 'Total Ownership Cost of ' (TOC) will be determined by additional and unavoidable costs such as (1.) Building Approvals, (2.) Excavation and/or soil removal from your site. (3.) Electrical connection of the pool equipment and other costs, and (4.) desirable upgrades from the basic pool to make it more 'user-friendly' or lower the running costs by alternative water treatment systems.
An on-site visit from CASCADE will result in a firm quotation for the pool and all the pool upgrades that appeal to you, plus an estimate of all of the other costs you will encounter - leaving you with a realistic TOTAL EXPECTED COST for your pool project.
Pool prices quoted herein or in our Sales Literature are for a 'swimable' swimming pool supplied with the equipment indicated (above, or in the Literature), but which may be upgraded at additional cost by adding time-saving Aquagenie Skimmer(s), Underwater Pool Lights, energy-saving Insulation Foam in the pool walls, non-chemical alternatives to Chlorine such as Ozone, interior Colour Upgrades and longer Guarantees, Pool Heating and other optional extras which may increase the TCO significantly.

Installing a home swimming pool is a considerable investment in your family life, and should be treated accordingly when getting quotes!
Our process may take one to two hours, so please allow sufficent time for this important meeting which will result in us leaving you with a full written quotation for our work plus an estimate for the other potential costs of your pool project as indicated in the next paragraph. In other words, when we leave you will have a reasonable idea of what the entire pool project will cost you.
Other potential costs may include (but not limited to) the following additional items to complete your pool project: Building Approvals from your Local Territorial Authority*, preparing the pool site by removing overburden and levelling the site, excavtion of the pool and removal of the excavated soil which may involve tracked diggers/soil removal machines, and truck to transport the soil off-site**, Tip Fees, Water to fill the pool (which may be by Tanker Loads), concrete paving, pavers or decking around the pool, Pool Fence that complies with the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 and subsequent Building Code and Local Council amendments, retaining walls, and other ornamental developments that you may desire.
Good quality Filtermaster Heat Pumps run from $4,800 to $8,200 but be cautioned: there are cheaper quality Asian imports on the market. Electrical connection of pool equipment may vary from less than $1,000 to more than $3,000 depending how much of your garden you want to include in outdoor lighting, so getting several quotes is suggested. Most Territorial Authorities with water reticulation systems will allow water to be taken from the Fire Hydrants (at a fee) otherwise water tanker fill-ups will cost between $600 and $1,200 for most residential pool sizes.
* The local Territorial Authority may/will require you to provide a Site Plan showing the pool location in relation to boundaries, which implies you must be able to locate your Boundary Pegs, the location and construction details of the compliant Pool Fence, site contours, site coverage and impermeable/permeable surface area, and engineering details describing the pool structure. They may/will also require a PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 plus performance details in accordance with the Buidling Code 2006 in respect of B! & B2. Their fee for this ranges from less than $1000 to more than $2,250 depending where in New Zealand the pool is to be built. There may also be a requirement for a Resource Consent, especially if you reside in a Marine Zone.
** The excavation may also require drilling support piles to support the pool in the planned location on the property
