Cascade Ultimate Pools are designed for easy living. With low-maintenance features, minimal chemical use (thanks to Ozone Assist), and a smooth, child-friendly finish, you get more time to enjoy your pool—not work on it. Fast installation, fully insulated 90mm foam walls for heat retention, and long-lasting quality make Cascade Aqualux interior swimming pools one of the smartest investments for your Auckland home.

Once building consents are approved (which can take several weeks to a few months), installation typically starts within 1–2 weeks. The pool shell is usually completed within 5 days, followed by finishing touches like coping and surrounds during the 14-day concrete curing period. The Aqualux interior is custom-fitted for a seamless and durable finish.

A fully equipped family pool (around 8.0m x 4.0m ) typically costs $35,600–$79,200 including GST. Prices vary based on the model, site conditions and optional extras. Cascade quotes are transparent and include a breakdown of all likely costs—including essentials like engineering, excavation, water filling, fencing, and council approvals—so you know what to expect up front.

Cascade provides detailed written quotes with a clear breakdown:
  • Schedule A: What's included
  • Schedule B: Popular add-ons
  • Schedule C: Required extras (no matter who you build with)
Other builders may leave out costs like council consents, excavation, electrical, or water delivery—adding up to 50% more than their base quote. Cascade aims to be upfront so you can compare apples with apples.

Cascade Ultimate pools are insulated with 90mm foam—recycled, high-grade insulation that reduces heat loss through the pool walls. Combined with a solar cover or heat pump, this insulation helps you enjoy a warmer pool with significantly lower heating costs.

Since 1971, Cascade has installed over 8,250 pools across New Zealand—more than any other brand. Our proven track record and local experience ensure your pool is built to last and suited to NZ conditions.

We go beyond the standard Consumer Guarantees Act. Cascade pools are built to last—with a 50-year expected structural lifespan and 25 years for the Aqualux interior (when properly maintained). Many older Cascade pools are still going strong after 40+ years.

We've been in business since 1971 and have installed and refurbished over 12,800 pools. Unfortunately, some newer competitors may spread misinformation. We focus on facts and performance, not fear tactics. Aqualux liners are strong, long-lasting, and backed by real-world performance in NZ conditions. Always ask for proof and choose a company based on experience and transparency.

Aqualux is a tough, low-maintenance pool liner made from pH-neutral chlorinated PVC. It’s algae-resistant, available in a wide range of colours and finishes, and has a proven 25-year lifespan. It’s more durable and easier to care for than painted or plastered surfaces.

Aqualux is extremely tough. It resists everyday wear from jewellery, pool toys, or glassware. It’s even covered by your household insurance. If damage ever occurs, it can be repaired underwater without draining the pool.

Cascade Ultimate pools with Aqualux interiors are flexible and ideal for areas with shifting or cracking clay soils. The interior adapts to movement, helping prevent damage where rigid pool structures may fail.

Yes, but salt systems have downsides, like increased wear on paving, water loss due to rain, and ongoing pH balancing. Cascade’s Ozone + Aquagenie system offers a more efficient, low-maintenance alternative without the hassle of salt corrosion or chlorine odours.

Cascade pools use Ozone to eliminate most of the need for chlorine. That strong “chlorine smell” actually comes from chloramines, which form when chlorine is too low. With proper balance and ozone treatment, your pool stays clean, odour-free, and gentle on sensitive skin.

Chlorine disinfects your pool by oxidising contaminants. If there’s not enough chlorine, it creates chloramines, which are what you smell. A well-balanced pool with ozone support won’t have this issue and is much healthier to swim in.

Ozone kills bacteria and algae 10–25 times faster than chlorine. When combined with Cascade’s Aquagenie skimmer system, ozone is distributed efficiently throughout the pool—keeping the water cleaner and safer for your family.

A heat pump is the most efficient and cost-effective way to heat your pool, using free ambient air to maintain your preferred temperature. Cascade’s insulation helps retain heat, cutting costs by up to 90% compared to uninsulated pools. Expect seasonal heating costs around 51 cents/hour or a range of between $800–$1200 with a heat pump.

Solar energy is free, but solar heating systems require specific conditions (north-facing panels, pumps, and controllers) and can be less effective in cooler months. Cascade recommends pairing a solar bubble cover with a heat pump or a solar heating system for consistent, reliable heating.
