- Periodically replace filtration medium every 5-7 years
- Use rubber gloves and simple tools like a Stillson wrench and a crescent wrench
- Superchlorinate the pool before starting the job
Spider Gasket Replacement
- Replace the Spider Gasket every 5-7 years or when you notice a pool leak
- Use a medium-sized Phillips head screwdriver and contact cement
- Clean the surface thoroughly before applying the new gasket
Service a Salt Chlorinator Cell
- Handle Hydrochloric Acid with care and wear protective gear
- Soak the electrode in a mixture of water and acid to remove calcium buildup
- Dispose of the used acid mixture properly
Fixing the Aquagenie Feeder Tube
- Use a PVC part and solvent to hold the tube out of the way
- Lower the pool water level to access the Aquagenie body
- Apply solvent and press the PVC block onto the skimmer wall
Patching a Damaged Pool Liner
- Use underwater adhesive and spare liner material
- Clean and roughen the area around the damage
- Apply the patch firmly and hold it in place with a sandbag if possible
Clearing the Hair & Lint Strainer
- Turn off the pool pump and OZONE unit
- Loosen the clear lid and remove the basket
- Clean the basket and replace it gently, ensuring it's properly seated
